10% of ALS cases are inherited through a mutated gene

Did you know that 10% of people who are diagnosed with ALS inherit the disease through a mutated gene? This is called “familial” ALS (FALS). In those families, there is a 50% chance each child will inherit the gene mutation and could develop ALS.

In honor of ALS Awareness Month, we need people like YOU to continue share these facts and increase awareness about ALS and support for our ALS community.
