Celebrating Lou Gehrig Day

The ALS community and Major League Baseball hit a homerun with the annual Lou Gehrig Day. In stadiums across the nation, teams offered people living with ALS and their families special game day experiences. The Golden West Chapter was honored to participate in events with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Oakland Athletics, and San Francisco Giants! For more information, email us at baseball@alsagoldenwest.org.

Honoring Dwight Clark on #87 DAY

Every year, on August 7 (8/7), the San Francisco 49ers celebrate the ALS community and honor and remember the life of their beloved player #87, Dwight Clark, who  lost his battle with ALS in 2018. The Golden West Chapter is honored to participate again in this special program with the 49ers and other ALS advocates. For more information, email us at events@alsagoldenwest.org.

Take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

The $115 million in donations raised through the 2014 ALS Ice Bucket Challenge spurred a massive increase in The ALS Association’s capacity to invest in promising research, the development of assistive technologies, and increased access to care and services for people with ALS. Since 2014, we have committed more than $131 million toward our mission, including over $118 million committed specifically to worldwide research collaborations. You can still take one today!
